Photojournalism · Impacto Media · 2026 – Ongoing
In the Field for Philadelphia
Contributing Photojournalist · Impacto Media
Photojournalism is a different kind of commission. There's no shot list, no controlled environment, no client art director. You show up, you read the room, and you make decisions in real time about what matters and how to frame it. It's the work that keeps the eye honest.
Since 2026, Taíno Studios has contributed photography to Impacto Media, Philadelphia's leading Spanish-language publication covering the cultural and civic life of the city's Latino communities. The work runs in print and digital, reaching a readership that is consistently underdocumented in mainstream Philadelphia media.
We've covered the Concilio Puerto Rican Day Parade — one of the most significant annual gatherings in Philadelphia's Puerto Rican community — and the FIFA World Cup Fan Festival on Day 1, where Taíno Studios was simultaneously on assignment for both Impacto Media and Philadelphia Soccer 2026. Two clients, one floor, one city-wide moment. Strong visual journalism in community media is an act of presence. It says: this happened, these people were here, and it was worth showing up for.
