ABOUT THE STUDIO

Taíno Studios is more than a visual production company. It’s a growing creative hub rooted in visual storytelling, community, and cultural intention. Located at the historic Bok Building in South Philadelphia, our studio is dedicated to producing high-quality photography and videography for entrepreneurs, creatives, and mission-driven organizations.

Our studio is a home for both client work and community impact. It’s a space designed for bold visual content, nonprofit collaboration, and creative resources.

Taíno Studios serves as:

  • A production space for portraits, brand visuals, interviews, and creative campaigns

  • A teaching space for workshops in photography, videography, and creative business operations

  • A resource hub offering rentable gear and studio space for photo, video, and digital storytelling

  • A platform for nonprofit and grassroots partnerships to create meaningful visual media

We also continue to work on location for clients across the city when needed. We bring professional equipment to every project to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience wherever we’re creating.

Taíno Studios is built to serve and grow alongside the creatives and changemakers we collaborate with. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to creating with you.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hola! My name is Christopher, the founder of Taíno Studios! Mentorship is woven into the fabric of my career; As both a photographer and producer, I thrive on guiding others, fostering their creative development, and sharing the insights I've gained along the way.

I've been told I have a knack for bringing a sense of calm and focus to even the most demanding projects. My clients and teams appreciate my collaborative spirit and contemporary vision, which have been key to my success over the past 11 years.

My photographic style is very much environmental; I love to capture creative people doing what they do best in their creative space. I believe you can tell a lot about a person by the spaces they choose to show up in. Having a space to create in is key to the development of any artist, and I aim to own a studio space in Philadelphia that serves the local community and empowers many others to make their visions and ideas a reality.

Throughout my career, I've been able to connect people and curate exciting spaces where creativity can spark and innovation can thrive. While at Dear World, I produced and photographed events designed to bridge understanding and build community. Through storytelling experiences, live keynotes, and interactive activations, I helped individuals and organizations connect more deeply with the people around them. I took those skills and applied them to my freelance work, where I continue to be passionate about building spaces where creatives learn, connect, and share resources. That drive has evolved into my current role as Director of Operations for APT-122, where I focus on creating processes that pave the way for equitable creative opportunities within the world of experiential brands and businesses.

On a personal level, I'm fueled by personal growth, exceptional taste in music, and supporting fellow creatives. I'm an active member of the photo and events communities in Philly and NYC, and I'm always up for a thought-provoking conversation or discovering hidden gems in the city.

To be a leader and to share my knowledge with those who seek to learn; that’s my MO.
